Care

Church of the Nativity strives to be a community of care. As God gives us ability, we seek to minister to the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of each other. A key component of this is the friendship and support which we can offer one another. We have a specialized ministry to focus our care, and can refer to professional caregivers as appropriate. We try to hold and remember one another in our hearts, and particularly those who are absent from our midst because they are hurting.

What is our Care Ministry?
Our Care Ministry offers emotional, spiritual and practical support to the parish and is extended to those experiencing difficulty or transition in their lives via a visit at church, home, hospital or nursing home, a phone call or note, or utilization of church and community resources as needed. Not only is it a way of responding to needs, it also is a way of reaching out to one another and keeping our church family connected.

How is Care Offered?
The Rector oversees the entire ministry of the parish, including its pastoral care. Working with him is our Pastoral Associate, who oversees the Care Ministry and the lay ministries which together form the Care Network.
