Electronic / On-line Giving Opportunities from your Debit Card, Savings or Checking Account

An Opportunity for you to share in Living out the Mission and Ministries of Church of the Nativity

Church of the Nativity is delighted to provide this web based service to make offerings to support the mission and ministry of the church.   We hope this method of giving allows you to connect with God and supports you in deepening your relationship with Christ.  We thank God for your generosity.

e - Giving is an electronic giving program which allows your contributions to be transferred electronically from your personal debit card, checking, or savings account to the specific church accounts through a secure site. When making your donation here, you can note if your gift is in thanksgiving for something or in memory of someone, so it may be properly acknowledged if you wish.

Your offerings help us carry on Christ's ministry of transformation and reconciliation as we work together to be and to make faithful followers of our Lord.

Prior to making a donation/registration transaction: Have your savings account or checking account number and routing number (unique to the bank you use) available.  For Debit cards, have your debit card on hand to enter account information and expiration date.

Annual Pledge

The church seeks pledge commitments for the operation of the mission and ministry of the church on a calendar year basis.  We conduct a pledge campaign annually in the fall for the upcoming calendar year.  A pledge can be made at any point during the year for the remainder of the current calendar year. You can enter your pledge, originate a new pledge,  using e-Giving and your pledge will be withdrawn from your debit card, personal checking, or savings account electronically either in a one time gift, weekly, or monthly basis.

Pledges are absolutely vital for the parish to survive and thrive in Building God’s Kingdom.  We ask parishioner’s to make a 'pledge' to give a certain amount of money in the coming year. This is a private decision and should be based on the gratitude we have for all that God has given us.  A guideline for giving is based on the percentage of your income that you choose to give - with 10% being the biblical standard for our total giving to God's work (to the church and to other godly charities).   In case of an increase or decrease in your income, your pledge can be adjusted accordingly by calling the Pledge Treasurer at the Church office.   To adjust your pledge, please do so in writing, or call the Pledge Treasurer at the church office.  Please do not use e-Giving to update your existing pledge.

Capital Campaign Pledge

Church of the Nativity is currently executing Phase One of a Long Range Plan to improve our facilities to better live out our mission and ministries.  We are seeking pledge support to defray the costs of the facility upgrades and mission initiatives of the phase one effort. You can join other parishioners (88 pledge units in total) in making a pledge commitment to support the Capital Campaign.  You can make your pledge on line!  Pledge cards for the capital campaign are available at the church as well and you can submit a pledge card as a backup, ie. indicate pledge was setup using e-Giving and indicate request pledge payment informoation on the pledge card as well.

We are currently in a position of completing the Phase One effort maintenance projects on the parking lot, drive way, bracing for the Nave and roofing upgrade. We now need continued support from the parish to pay off the Equity Loan balance we have on the costs for these upgrades.  As part of the Capital Campaign we pledged 10% to mission outreach and also allocated monies to support additional staff needs.  For more information on the capital campaign, click on the capital campaign tab on the left of the home page of the church web site.

Restricted Fund Donation

We use a Restricted Fund checking account to manage funds coming into the ministries of the church.  There are nine sub-funds which we keep a log of monies coming in for ministry initiatives and needs.  Monies are then expensed from this account for specific ministry events and needs.   These sub accounts track our Restricted Fund ministries:

They are:  Follower, Reaching, Teaching, Worship, Celebration, Caring, Administrative, Miscellaneous, and Youth.

A ministry leader will tell you typically what fund you should contribute to for a particular activity.  For electronic donations coming in – please indicate what sub fund you are donating to in the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field, just below your address information.  This helps the church staff in ledgering the donations coming in and identifying what specific fund the donation/registration is to be allocated too.

LOV-E Fund Bequest

God blesses us with so much.  Church of the Nativity realizes that Legacy Stewardship is a vital part of our experience in moving out in Mission, fully utilizing all the resources God has given us. Church of the Nativity welcomes bequests and memorial gifts as a powerful witness.  These gifts keep on giving – Eternally to the mission of the Church.  We have set up a mission restricted fund, the LOV-E fund to project our our mission and ministries eternally.  The principal in the LOV-E fund is protected. The LOV-E fund dividends flow into three sub funds: Reach, Teach, and Capital Improvements.  The sub funds principal and interest is available to the vestry to support ministry needs focused on Reach and Teach (evangelism and discipleship) as well as much needed capital improvements (unexpected expenses like the leaky roof, organ repair) that are not typically budgeted in the operating budget   You can make a donation to the LOV-E fund, or any or all of the three sub funds. Please use the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field to make absolutely clear to the church office what fund you are contributing to.  Make separate electronic contributions if you want to make a bequest to multiple funds and use the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field to allocate the unique donation, so mention “LOV-E fund” or “Reach subfund”,”Teach subfund”, or “Capital Improvements sub fund”.  For more information on the LOV-E fund, look at the church web site on Stewardship and click on Legacy Stewardship.

 Designated Memorial

You can make specific one time memorial contributions to the church to honor someone or witness your faith using E-Giving.  The Designated memorial is a donation to the church for a specific need the church has.  Call the church office and speak to the Rector to identify a need for the memorial to support.  These contributions will be earmarked by the ministry they serve and will be allocated specifically as you request for a need of the church in a particular ministry area.  In the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field make it clear what your contribution is going toward and what ministry area.

In support of the electronic donation, also it would be helpful to call the church and let them know you are making a memorial contribution and executing the donation on-line.  Please make known the designation of the memorial contribution in the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field.  Also use the ‘Optional’ field at the bottom of the form.  Here you can designate in whose memory the contribution is being made to.  There also is a field in the e-Giving form where you can enter an acknowledgement address so that the church will send out an acknowledgement to the next of kin you want to notify of the memorial contribution.  Designated memorials can be earmarked for the Follower Ministries, Reaching Ministries, Teaching Ministries, Worship Ministries, Caring Ministries, Youth Ministries, or Miscellaneous Ministries and specific needs these ministries

If you want to make a general donation to the church in memorial, without specifying a ministry or purpose for the donation, indicate in the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ that it is an “Undesignated Memorial”.  Fill in the amount of the donation in the Designated Memorial field.  That will leave it up to the Rector and vestry to decide how to utilize the donation for the mission and ministry of the church.

Event Registration

Currently we are accepting registration fees for Vacation Bible School on-line.  You can electronically send monies from your debit card, checking or savings account to pay for  Vacation Bible School here and enter the specific registration amount.  You must indicate the Purpose of the Registration in the ‘Donation/Registration Purpose’ field of the form, just below the address.  Specify ‘Vacation Bible School’ in this purpose field. Follow up with the ministry leader as well as a backup that you have made an electronic payment.
