Stewardship

This group provides encouragement and education in the biblical concept of stewardship. Since God creates and owns all things, we are simply His stewards who care for the time, talent, and treasure He has given us. He asks us to return a portion to Him to remind us of who really owns what, and to further His work in our world.

STEWARDSHIP STATEMENT We, the Vestry and Clergy of Nativity affirm the following vision of Stewardship as prayerfully discerned by the Stewardship Committee: We believe in the living God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that we are and all, and all we have are, gifts from God; that if we sow generously, we will reap generously. We commit to love each other and ask God's power and grace to work within us to build up our faith; to give our time, talent and treasure to God and to God's work; to raise up the tithe as the standard of our giving so we may spread the Kingdom of God in our local community, diocese, nation, and the world; to tithing in our giving to God, or taking steps to proportionally increase our commitment to giving to God so as to become tithers in the next few years. We invite all people to feel and receive God's eternal light, and in thanksgiving live our lives to further Christ's mission; all the members of Church of the Nativity to join us in making this commitment as we give back to Him a small portion of our incredible blessings.
